Mission Statement:
The mission of the Diocese of San Angelo is to be faithful to Jesus Christ, seek the salvation of souls, build the kingdom of God, and help the Catholic faith to flourish in West Texas.

Vision Statement:
We envision the Diocese of San Angelo as a Church with vibrant, welcoming communities in which people understand their identity as children of God, encounter the love of Jesus Christ, support one another in learning and living the Catholic faith, become servant leaders, and reach out in missionary discipleship.Established on October 16, 1961, the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Angelo, Texas, encompasses some 37,433 square miles. It comprises 29 counties in West and Central Texas: Andrews, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crane, Crockett, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Irion, Kimble, Martin, McCulloch, Menard, Midland, Mitchell, Nolan, Pecos, Reagan, Runnels, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, Terrell, Tom Green, and Upton.
 Major cities located in the diocese are: Abilene, Big Spring, Brownwood, Fort Stockton, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo, and Sweetwater.
